Where to Stay in Paris
AirBnB.com, VRBO.com, and Escalea.com are great websites to search for apartments or homes to rent from anywhere in the world! I have been scoping out several apartments in Paris and there are so many options! You can sort it by neighborhoods, price, number of guests, wi-fi, English speaking hosts, and much more. For our family and friends who will be joining us, I recommend using these websites because it is a lot cheaper than staying in a hotel if you have multiple people or are staying for a week. What’s awesome is that you have your own place to experience the Parisian culture by staying among the natives. You can also cook your own meals and even wash clothes, which allows you to pack lightly and save money.

Rich, his mother, and I already booked our apartment and we are in the 4th Arrondissement/District in Le Marais. Here are the neighborhoods that are considered safe and/or close to attractions:
1st Arrondissement (Louvre)
3rd Arrondissement (Le Marais, République)
4th Arrondissement (Le Marais, Notre Dame)
5th Arrondissement (Latin Quarters)
6th Arrondissement (St. Germaine)
7th Arrondissement (Eiffel Tower, Musee d’Orsay)
9th Arrondissement (Opéra)
Each neighborhood has its own personality and characteristics so it is up to you to choose the best option that meets your needs. For example, if you don’t mind a loud/younger crowd, the 5th is the best since it is by the Sarbonne University. To be in walking proximity to the historical sites, 1st is where it is at, though the 6th allows you to be close to the sites with a view of the Seine. All I hear these days is how lively Le Marais is so this might be ideal for you. We personally chose Le Marais since it is centrally located but mainly because the 4th is known for having great restaurants and bars so it would be easy to enjoy the nightlife.
